Debbie Gisonni is an author, speaker, personal growth expert and the Executive Director at Stillheart Institute.
Debbie spent fifteen years in corporate management, sales and marketing positions with bottom line responsibility. She was instrumental in leading and motivating teams of people through major changes, and was one of the youngest women to become a publisher of a multi-million-dollar magazine in the high tech industry.
At the height of her executive career, her personal life was derailed by the unexpected loss of four family members in four years. Debbie drew upon her inner strength to embrace her ordeal, and then boldly left her 15-year career to start Real Life Lessons in 1998; a company dedicated to personal growth and professional success with the mission to help people to be happy and prosperous in life, work and home through positive change.
Debbie’s two distinct careers—corporate executive and personal growth expert—have given her a unique perspective on business and life. In 2010, she found the perfect opportunity to combine all of her talents as the Executive Director at Stillheart Institute; an educational center and sanctuary offering collaborative programs with individuals, groups and businesses for personal growth, self-awareness and transformation. Located in the hills of Woodside, CA, Stillheart creates a space for positive change in harmony with nature and spirit.
Debbie is the author of two personal growth books: the national best seller, The Goddess of Happiness: A Down-to-Earth Guide for Heavenly Balance and Bliss and Vita’s Will: Real Life Lessons about Life Death & Moving On. She is an experienced speaker and media guest who has addressed audiences from corporate executives to women’s groups to teens. Her articles have appeared in numerous publications nationwide, and she has been featured in newspapers such as The San Jose Mercury News and The Dallas Morning News. Debbie’s " Health and Happiness" column appears in the Examiner.com.
Originally from The Bronx, New York, Debbie lives on the west coast with her husband and their two Siberian husky dogs. She’s a self proclaimed “foodie”, and her passions include cooking & entertaining, eating, physical fitness, clothes, shoes, interior design, feng shui, meditation, drumming, dancing, and laughing out loud!
Debbie holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Certification in Hypnotherapy.
